New web-based training materials are now available

With MPanel seamlessly running as an add-on toolbar inside AutoCAD, you have the best of both worlds; the leading PC-based drafting and design package combined with the easiest to use form finding and paneling software on the market! Allow us to help you design more innovative and interesting structures. Now available on our website is a collection of drawings and tutorials to assist new users; or indeed, more experienced users wanting to work with new designs.

Tutorials now available are:

· Getting started: Basic information on how to begin using MPanel

· Cone Tent: How to design and produce a cone tent

· Geodesic Seams: Putting geodesic seams onto a saddle tent

· Double Mesh: Double mesh being used to double up on a cone tent

· Shear Error:  Looks at the issues involved in merging panels, and shows how the shearing error occurs

· Spinnaker: Creates a set of panels running diagonally on a square sail

· Adjusting  droop: Looks at the problems of adjusting the droop of a square sail with high/low points

· Flat Banner: Creating a flat banner with scalloped edges

· Frame canopy: Developing an awning

The next version of MPanel is due for release

Meliar Design is due to release MPanel Version 10 in the Spring of 2004. Some of the new features forecast  to be included in Version 10 are:

· A model builder to build cone tent and saddle structures automatically

· Seam allowances overlaid to allow for retention of original panel drawing

· Balance marks added along seam allowances

· Ability to separate the cutting layer from the annotation layer

· Ability to output panels as blocks or groups

Remember, if you have a MPanel Technical Support Agreement with us, you  will receive MPanel Ver. 10 automatically, free of charge. Also, if you have purchased MPanel within the last 12 months then you are still within your original Software Maintenance and will also receive MPanel Ver. 10 automatically, free of charge.

If you don’t have a technical support contract with us, you may want to do that now. Otherwise, should you decide to upgrade later, MPanel will be the normal full license price.  Call or email for pricing or more information.
