ALAMEDA DEL RIO THEATRE – LIMA 2006

This theatre had to be built because of its location in the historic city centre of Lima as a cultural point that gives a new value for the Rimac River. The main structure consists in 3 posts of 20 metres of high on the centre and rounded by the membrane and another 5 posts of 10 metres of high located on the edge of the coating, plus 2 posts of 7 metres that allows the cables made of galvanized steel to be stable on the ground. The membrane consist in three blankets giving the essence of plasticity and malleability of this material.

Real Plaza Mall - Chiclayo 2005

The design drives an image of a tensile coating suspended on the air, joined in certain points to give continuity to the corridor, providing an environment without light but with the feeling of being outdoors and sunny enough thanks to the translucent of the material. The support metallic structure is imperceptible; consists of side posts put every 10 meters and 9 meters of high. The lighting directed to the material offers a very interesting range of volume in terms of light and half-light.

LIMA PLAZA SUR MALL – LIMA 2005

The whole tensile coating is suspended on an outer metallic structure alternated and stabled by cables holding the regular sequence of hyperbolic cones on the corridor zones and also above the food courts of the mall. The lighting of this corridor is enriched thanks to the rays of light coming from the superior openings of the cones, proving the feeling of not having a roof. The ventilation is provided by a separation between the coating and the roof of the building.

EL PUEBLO CONVENTION CENTRE – LIMA 1997

This convention centre requires the functionality of a complete free space for an optimal performance of different kinds of activities. That is why it designed outer columns to cover the entrance of the light. The geographic of the surface pass between peaks and valleys and that makes the design more versatile because of the lines and curves of the system.
